1. Who we are

Survey Kiln is a product of Whipsocket, a software development agency based in Columbia, South Carolina. References to "Survey Kiln," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Whipsocket LLC and the Survey Kiln product.

2. Survey response data

Survey Kiln is a survey builder and renderer. When a respondent completes a survey, their answers are delivered directly to the application that embedded the survey — your Bubble.io app, your React application, or whatever platform you have integrated with. Survey Kiln does not receive, transmit to, or store any survey response data on our servers.

You are solely responsible for how you collect, store, and handle the response data in your own application.

3. IP address and signature generation

To support response integrity and basic deduplication features, Survey Kiln makes a request to ipify.org (https://api.ipify.org) at the time a survey is rendered. This API call retrieves the respondent's public IP address, which is used only to generate a one-way anonymous signature for that session.

• No IP address is stored by Survey Kiln.
• The signature derived from it cannot be reversed to identify an individual.
• This data is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising.

4. Website visitors

When you visit surveykiln.com, standard web server logs may capture basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you viewed. This information is used solely for diagnosing issues and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics scripts, or behavioral advertising cookies on this website.

5. Feature request form

If you submit a feature request through our Help Center, the information you provide (feature description, area, and optional email) is sent to us via Formspree and used only to review and respond to your request. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Session-level browser storage may be used by the survey builder interface to preserve your work within a session. No persistent tracking cookies are set.

7. Third-party services

Survey Kiln integrates with the following third-party platforms as part of its operation:

• Bubble.io — The plugin is distributed and billed through the Bubble.io plugin marketplace. Bubble.io's own privacy policy governs data handled within their platform.
• Formspree — Used to receive feature request submissions from the Help Center. Formspree's privacy policy applies to that data.
• ipify.org (https://api.ipify.org) — Used transiently to retrieve the respondent's public IP address for session signature generation during survey rendering. No data from this request is retained by Survey Kiln. See ipify.org for their terms.

8. Data retention

Because Survey Kiln does not collect or store survey response data, there is nothing to delete or request. If you submitted a feature request and would like that information removed, email us at support@surveykiln.com and we will remove it promptly.

9. Children's privacy

Survey Kiln is intended for use by developers and businesses building applications. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Survey Kiln after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
